Run with Aris

Join the team!

Dear friends,

The Terry Fox Foundation is hosting a 5K walk/run in Central Park on Saturday, October 5, 2024, to raise funds for cancer research.

We invite you to join us and be a part of the team "Run with Aris," showing your support to Aris and his family.

As Aris and his family plan to walk / run, it will be a wonderful chance for our children to be together.

Registration for the race is free, and donations are optional. Please note that any optional donations will go directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), supporting their work in leukemia research, not to Aris' family.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Event Information

This event is a non-competitive family fun-run. No official results are recorded. Participation and fundraising are the goals. All proceeds are donated to support cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

We encourage everyone to pre-register, however, you can register in Central Park on the morning of the run. Everyone is Welcome! NO ENTRY FEE.

Location

Central Park, Naumburg Bandshell - South of the 72nd Street Transverse. (Google Maps)

Course

Start and Finish Lines are near the Bethesda Fountain. (course map)

Start: The team “Run with Aris” will start at 9:30am. The event has an “open” start between 9:15am and 9:45am

Course consists of two laps of the Lower Loop of Central Park, but you can also do only one lap if you prefer.

Set Up 7:00 am - 8:00 am

Registration 8:00 am - 9:45 am

Start 9:30am for team "Run with Aris

Entertainment 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Raffle Prizes 10:30 am

Clean Up 10:30 am - 12:00 noon

Additional Information

T-SHIRTS:

All participants will receive a free T-Shirt (while supplies last).

RUN DAY REGISTRATIONS AND DONATIONS:

Run day registrations and donations will be accepted at the Run site on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Registration tent.

RAFFLE PRIZES:

All participants will be eligible (and free of charge) to win some fabulous raffle prizes donated by various organizations. One catch: You must be present at the drawing to win a prize. The raffle will take place after the run at 10:30 a.m.
