Welcome to My Terry Fox Page
I'm running the Terry Fox Run in New York City to raise money for cancer research in memory of my dad, Tom Towers, who passed away from renal cell carcinoma in 2019.
Since then, with the help of friends, family, and generous donors, we've raised more than $85,000 in his memory to support cancer research. This year, I'm continuing that legacy and I'll be matching donations up to $1,000 to help push this work even further.
Cancer is never straightforward. It's personal. It's painful. And it touches far too many lives. My dad was one of them. That's why I'm supporting Dr. Renier Brentjens' immunotherapy research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), work that holds promise for treating acute and chronic leukemias, and potentially many other cancers.
"No matter how promising the research or how inspired the scientists, nothing can happen without the resources to fund the work."
- Dr. Renier Brentjens
100% of every dollar you give goes directly to research.
Since the Terry Fox Run began in NYC over two decades ago, it has raised more than $3 million locally. And globally, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over $850 million for cancer research, fueling breakthroughs, saving lives, and honoring Terry's legacy of hope and determination.
If cancer has touched your life, or the life of someone you love, please consider donating. Any amount helps. Together, we can fund the science that saves lives.
Thank you for being part of this fight.
